A Tribute From Expert Modelers
Rich Fisher and Son
"The Fisher Household KNOWS about you guys!!!"

(Email extract from Rich Fisher)

Gentlemen,

Since I first contacted you all almost a year ago, I have learned quite a bit about PBRs and the gallantry of the River Rats.  Truly remarkable service, that unfortunately, not many Americans know about.  I was one of them.  It has only been in the past couple years that I began to learn of the significant contribution of the Brown Water Navy, and how you all gave Charlie fits!!!

I contacted you all last year to gain more information on PBRs that I could incorporate into my 1:18 scale radio control model.  I received considerable help from Mark Herrmann, who has has become a good friend of mine. Mark has put up with my endless questions and provided valuable insight, as well as actual photos from his own collection.  I'm grateful for his help and his friendship.

Likewise,  I am grateful to all of you for your service.  You are HEROES!!!   THANK YOU!!!

Anyway, attached are photos of my revised display, and actual shots of the boat on the water. This boat is MUCH more realistic than it was a year ago, thanks to Mark.  He has given me a thumbs-up on my model, and I appreciate that.

I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT! PICS AND MOVIE

Be patient while the text displays.

UPDATE 12/7/2024

We have recently built TWO more PBR models…one a static display…and the other a Radio Control version. These boats were built to honor our friend and PBR Veteran Mark Herrmann. These are fine renditions of the 8106 boat that he was a bow gunner on while with RD 515. He was pleased with the work we did. My son Cole did the majority of the work on the static version, whereas I did the lion share on the radio control version. Perhaps you can find a place to display our work. We’re PROUD of it…and Mark has given us a thumbs up!!! Both of these models are 1:18 scale. Hope you like it, and can find a spot on your site to display them. The final 3 are the static model. All others are the radio control version.
